Skateistan

Connecting vulnerable youth to education through skateboarding

Skateistan began as a grassroots ‘Sport for Development’ project on the streets of Kabul in 2007, and is now an award-winning, international NGO (Non-Governmental Organization) with projects in Afghanistan and Cambodia. Skateistan is the first international development initiative to combine skateboarding with educational outcomes. Skateistan is non-political, independent, and inclusive of all ethnicities, religions and social backgrounds.

A.Skate Foundation

Skateboarding as therapy for kids with autism

The A.skate Foundation is an organization that allows children with autism to be a part of our social world through skateboarding. We hold clinics for children with autism at no cost to the families, give grants to children with autism for skateboard gear, as well as promote awareness and educate families about the skateboard industry.

Exposure Skate Organization

Empowering women through skateboarding.

Since its inception, EXPOSURE has sought to expand its message of female empowerment by raising money for survivors of domestic violence. Each year, the events raise awareness throughout the community and EXPOSURE Skate donates a portion of their proceeds to local domestic violence shelters.

Discount Skateboards LLC

Skater Owned Online Store

Skateboarder Art Palacios’s dream of selling skateboards started in 1994 after he visited many skate shops around California and found them to be just like home. Art, shortly after graduating high school, joined the armed service (Army) and served his country for almost six years. During his time in the service, Art found himself doing a tour on the borders of Iraq and Kuwait. When he got back, he went after his dream. Art and everyone at Discount Skateboards LLC want to share their experience with future generations by providing skateboarding supplies, decks, and complete skateboards at reasonable, discounted prices.
