The 540 is a difficult skateboarding spin trick, almost always done on transition. It involves your body and board spinning 540 degrees together. It is typically done with a grab trick, though several vert skaters can perform Ollie 540s. Mike McGill invented the McTwist, an inverted Backside 540. Tony Hawk came up with the Frontside 540 (called a Rodeo Flip if done “inverted” or “corked”) as well as many other variations of the 540.
