Share your Kickflips here using Instagram and #Kickflips

Kickflips are the most common skateboard flip trick. They serve as a basis or “gateway” to learning many other flip tricks, including Varial Kickflips, 360 Flips and Frontside/Backside Flips. A kickflip is done by ollieing and simultaneously sliding the front foot away from the board. A proper kickflip means flicking your front foot out and away diagonally (between forward and heelside). Kickflips can be accomplished also by kicking downward, but a more “forward and out” motion will allow you to retain hangtime, increase the height of your kickflips and learn other kickflip combinations easier. The modern version of the kickflip was invented by Rodney Mullen.
